Ruby was the very first employee of the Watts & Co lettings team back in April 2017, with an abundance of patience and a never wavering temperament, she is ideal to look after the paperwork, tenant applications and office tasks.

Resting bitch face with a South African accent, Jade is the perfect cross between an interior designer and a cage fighter. She oversees all of our refurb projects and is the one that keeps the builders in check.

Sam Watterson

Director

In 2010 Sam founded the original company that would evolve into Watts & Co.

Starting off from his back bedroom he began by offering a lettings service, then property management. As a landlord of a small portfolio himself his background in sales gave him an advantage over other agents that he thought were slow to act and lacked dynamism.

He now heads up the Sourcing and Investments Division as well as managing key relationships on bigger developments. Outside of work Sam likes to visit the gym regularly and play football as often as he knees allow.

With a wealth of knowledge and experience in lettings, Sam specialises in turning around problem properties and portfolios and is always happy to advise on strategies that will maximise return on investment.

Francesca Clough

Property Buying Agent

Originally from North Wales, Francesca joined Watts & Co in June 2020 immediately following her graduation from Leeds Beckett University where she had studied criminology.
Initially cutting her teeth as a Lettings Administrator, she quickly got to grips with the industry and due to her attitude, commitment and raw talent after 12 months was transferred over to the investment side of the business to become a Property Buying Agent. Francesca’s day to day involves liaising with our investors, viewing properties, packaging the opportunities up and negotiating purchases.

When not out and about or making things happen in the office Francesca can be found going for long walks or on the water in her inflatable kayak.

Alex Azevedo

Office Manager

Leeds born and bred; Alex joined Sam at his previous company having come from a hospitality background. After a short hiatus she re-joined him not long after Watts & Co started in 2017 and worked as the letting’s negotiator, conducting all the viewings and negotiating between applicants and landlords. In summer 2021, Alex switched to a more office-based role and became the office manager in charge of overseeing the management of the portfolio, processing rents and arranging maintenance. Alex is currently being progressed through the business with a view to becoming the lettings branch manager as the portfolio continues to grow. Alex is a devoted Mum to 2 boys and a girl and spends most of her free time playing taxi to different activities such as Taekwondo and Sea Cadets. Alex is like the A-team for tenants, if they have a problem, she’s the one that is always willing to help.

Jake Aldridge

Lettings Negotiator

In 2010 Sam founded the original company that would evolve into Watts & Co.
Having grown up and still living in Beeston, Jake was already familiar with many of the areas where Watts & Co operate. He represented Britain at Basketball and previously worked as a manager at McDonalds at a relatively young age. These achievements were a good indication of his ability and since starting the role in May 2021, he’s made it his own and become a valuable member of the team. Reporting into Alex, Jake is the man on the ground and looks after all the field-based activities such as viewings, move ins and inspections.

Ruby Fletcher

Office Admin

Ruby was the very first employee of the Watts & Co lettings team back in April 2017, with an abundance of patience and a never wavering temperament she is the ideal person to look after all the paperwork, tenant applications and other office tasks. Having started out full time, Ruby now works part-time following the birth of her two young children. Another Lioner, Ruby lives with her fiancé in North Leeds with family in Alwoodley.

Jade Simpson

Project Co-ordinator

Resting bitch face with a South African accent, Jade is the cross between an interior designer and a cage fighter. She oversees all our refurb projects and is the one that keeps the builders in check. Having moved over to the UK a few years ago with her parents she joined Watts & Co in March 2020 just as the world went into meltdown. Having helped out in all areas of the business in the early days Jade talents include project managing the refurbs, interior design as well as being a Prince 2 qualified project manager and trained in CAD, responsible for all our technical drawings and layout plans. Outside of work she’s an avid gym goer and keeps her upper body strength in check in case she needs to get any of the builders in a headlock to make them behave themselves.
